Canada Games Cross Country

March 26, 2014 by Andrew L'Esperance

As some of you know, I am currently in Sherbrooke, Quebec attending my third Canada Games as part of Team Nova Scotia. It is certainly an honor to be represent my province at Canada Games for the third time. At Games this year I will be here for both weeks one and two. I am racing mountain bike in the first week and road cycling in the second week. We have a very strong team this year, both on the dirt and the pavement and we will be looking to make our mark.

The racing started here in Sherbrooke yesterday with the very first medals of the 2013 Games on the line. I had a very good race and finished 5th in a stacked field of all the best U23 riders in the country. I had great legs, I was climbing like an animal and I was equally good in the technical. Other riders were stronger than me on the day but I am right there, just a few tweaks and I think I’ll be riding in the top three.
